The Rain

Main Street was a tumbling river

Already out of its banks

Thunderstorm goin’ eastward

But heavy rain still coming down

The rain fell in gleaming stream

The rain

Waters colored red white and blue

By the neon signs of the bar

A truck sloshed past at a crawling speed

Its wake broke against the doors of darkened stores

The rain fell in gleaming stream

The rain

The rain fell in gleaming stream

The rain
